Cleansing Lepers
Leviticus 14
If the leprosy be thoroughly healed:
- Priest must go outside the camp and look upon the leper.
- Priest must take for the leper.
- Take the living bird, the cedar wood, the scarlet, and hyssop and dip them into the blood of the dead fowl.
- Priest shall take of the water and sprinkle the leper seven times and shall pronounce him clean.
- Priest shall let the living bird go free in a open field.
- He that is to be cleansed must wash his clothes and his flesh then come back into the camp.
- He must stay out of his home for seven days.
- On the seventh day he must shave off all his hair, the hair upon his head, his beard, and his eyebrows.
- He must again wash his clothes and his flesh in water.
- On the eighth day he that is to be cleansed shall offer:
- Priest shall take one he lamb for a trespass offering and the log of oil, and wave them both for a wave offering before YHWH.
- Priest must kill the lamb in the place where they kill the burnt offerings.
- Priest shall take some of the blood from the trespass offering and put it on the tip of the right ear, right thumb, and right big toe of him that is to be cleansed.
- Priest must take some of the log of oil and pour it into the palm of his left hand.
- Priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand and sprinkle the oil seven times before YHWH.
- Priest must take of the oil in his left hand and put it on the tip of the right ear, right thumb, and right big toe, upon the blood from the trespass offering.
- The rest of the oil must the priest pour on the head of him that his to be cleansed.
- Priest must offer one lamb for a sin offering to make atonement for the lepers uncleanness.
- Priest must kill the lamb for a burnt offering.
- Priest must offer the burnt offering and the meat offering on the altar.
- Priest shall make atonement for him and shall be clean from his leprosy.
If he be a poor man and is unable to bring as much:
- He that is poor must offer:
- Priest must take the lamb for a trespass offering and the log of oil and wave them for a wave offering before YHWH.
- Priest shall take some of the blood from the trespass offering and put it on the tip of the right ear, right thumb, and right big toe of him that is to be cleansed.
- Priest must take some of the log of oil and pour it into the palm of his left hand.
- Priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand and sprinkle the oil seven times before YHWH.
- Priest must take of the oil in his left hand and put it on the tip of the right ear, right thumb, and right big toe, upon the blood from the trespass offering.

- Priest shall make atonement for him that is to be cleansed before YHWH, and the leper shall be clean from his leprosy.

- One tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering
- One log of oil
- Two turtledoves or two young pigeons: one for a sin offering and one for a burnt offering.

- Priest shall take some of the blood from the trespass offering and put it on the tip of the right ear, right thumb, and right big toe of him that is to be cleansed.
