Idolatry

Keep YHWH First
  1. Fear YHWH your Strong One. (Lev.19:14) 
  2. Do that which is right in the sight of YHWH. (Deut.6:18)
  3. Keep YHWH'S commandments. (Deut.6:17)
  4. Love YHWH with all your heart and all your soul. (Deut.6:5)

Idols and Graven Images

  6. Likeness of fish in the waters. (Deut.4:18)

  9. The stars. (Deut.4:19)
  10. All the host of heaven. (Deut.4:19)

Idolatry Notes:

YHWH Only:
  • There is no power besides YHWH (Deut.4:35)
  • No need for an idol to bring the way of YHWH. (Deut.30:11-14)
  • YHWH led us out of Egypt, and there was no strange idol with him. (Deut.32:12)
  • There is no idol with YHWH. (Deut.32:39)
  • Dawid has heard of no other power but YHWH. (2 Sam.7:22)
  • You cannot serve two entities, if YHWH is the Most High serve him. (1 Ki.18:21)
  • YHWH alone shall be exalted. (Isa.2:11)
