Leviticus 2:1-16
Grain Offerings:
- Must be of fine flour.
- Mingled with olive oil.
- Put frankincense on it.
- Priest must burn a handful of flour, oil, and frankincense on the altar for a sweet savour to YHWH
- The remnant of the meat offering is for the high priest and the sons of Zadok.
- It is most holy of the offerings.
Meat Offering Oblations:
Oblation of meat offering baked in the oven:
- Unleavened cakes of fine flour
- Must be mixed with oil
- Or unleavened wafers anointed with oil
- Must be of fine flour unleavened
- Mixed with oil
- Offering must be parted in pieces with oil poured thereon
- Must be made of fine flour with oil
Meat Offering Regulations:
- All oblations of meat offerings must be brought to the priest.
- Priest must burn a handful of the oblation on the altar for a sweet savour to YHWH.
- That which is left of the offering is for the high priest and his sons.
- No meat offering which is brought to YHWH shall be made with leaven.
- No honey (syrup sweeteners) may be burned in any offering to YHWH made by fire.
- Every oblation of meat offerings must be seasoned with salt.
- Must be eaten in the holy place.
- All males of the sons of Zadok must eat it, everyone the same portion.
- All meat offerings for the priest must be fully burnt, it must not be eaten.
Offerings of Firstfruits:
- Offerings of firstfruits must not be burned on the altar.
- Must offer green ears of corn dried by fire, even corn beaten out of full ears.
- Must put oil on it.
- Must put frankincense on it.
- Priest must burn part of the beaten corn, part oil, and part frankincense over fire (not the altar) unto YHWH.
